I am a morning person, but late evening leading up to bedtime is a close second for my favourite time of the day. This is when I do most of my self care rituals and relax from the day. We have lots of cozy blankets and dim lighting to create a cozy atmosphere that really sets the tone for the night. Cole and I like to catch up on a tv show and just visit with each other before heading to bed. I thought it might be fun to share with you my bedtime beauty & wellness essentials with you that I have incorporated into my daily nighttime routine!
My Gratitude Journal
I picked up this little notebook from Chapters late last year and have been using it as my gratitude journal. I like the small size and pretty lilac shade! Each night when I climb into bed I like to end the day by listing off three things I was grateful for that day. This is really easy to do and ends each day on a positive note!
This rollerball is designed to help fight headaches (and it does!) but I also like using it at bedtime. It sounds strange, but a tiny drop underneath my nose helps clear any stuffiness I have in seconds and helps me fall asleep quicker. I have been doing this for months now and have been sleeping a lot better!
I get such dry skin in the winter so body lotion is a must! This has been my recent obsession as it smells amazing and does a really good job of hydrating my skin. The light lilac colour is so pretty and the formula doesn’t feel greasy on my skin. With notes of lavender and tonka, this lotion is a nice balance of relaxing and sweet. I opted for the small size because I wasn’t sure about it (I ordered online) but it’s safe to say this is my new favourite lotion and I will definitely be repurchasing in the bigger size!
