There can be a lot of confusion around vitamins and supplements. Are they worth taking? Which ones should you take? The list goes on and on. I think vitamins are a really personal thing but in my opinion they’re worth taking; at least for me.
I have a lot of food sensitivities and intolerances which make it harder to get all of my nutrients through food every single day. So, for me vitamins are a great way to make sure I’m getting everything I need. I thought for today’s post I would talk you through some of my go-tos. This in no way me recommending them, though. Everyone is different and just because something works for me, doesn’t mean it will for you! Always make sure to chat with your doctor before trying something new if you have questions.
This probiotic is soy-free, which is perfect for me.Probiotics are super important for a healthy digestive system, which is what I need. I take one each morning and it helps me with my digestion issues throughout the day! Another probiotic I find works just as well is the HUM Nutrition Gut Instinct Probiotic*. It too helps with digestion issues so that I feel better during the day.
I deal with seasonal affective disorder this time of year. Since there is less sun in the winter I get low energy levels, have trouble sleeping, and can feel down on a regular basis. I take vitamin D every morning as well to help offset this and feel more like myself!
I take this vitamin first thing in the morning before I do anything else. It contains 15 detox herbs to help detox your skin and body from the inside out. It really helps with any hormonal acne I have and helps to improve the look of my skin!
Last but not least, I take a multivitamin with my breakfast to ensure I get everything I need for my day no matter what is going on!
